At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. **Summary** CHS Sun Basin in **Moses Lake, WA** is looking for a **Hazmat Truck Driver** to join our team. This individual is responsible for hauling petroleum products (diesel and gas) to our customers in a timely manner. This is a M-F home daily position with weekends as needed based on business needs. The ideal candidate would possess a Class A CDL with hazmat and doubles/triples endorsements (or ability to obtain) and have some local driving experience. Join our team today! **Responsibilities** + Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner + Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures + Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed + Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed + Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs + Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns + Perform additioanl duties as assigned **Minimum Qualifications (required)** + Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route) + Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required + 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience + Must meet age requirement + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English + Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately. **Additional Qualifications** + Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials + Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations. + Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers. + Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment. + Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse. **Physical Requirements** + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds + Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.
